Retail Sales Associate - Aspen

WHO: We are looking for several part-time Sales Associates to join our sales teams at our brick + mortar location in Aspen. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints, and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales Associate at Kate Maller Jewelry you will need a great affinity for selling luxury products + a high level of service. You will also need to stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.



  • Welcome customers to the store + answer their queries
  • Actively seek out customers in the store, engage them, and tell them what makes our store + products so unique
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Assess customer's needs, provide assistance + information on our products
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered + discuss available options
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
  • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
  • Cross sell products
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Handle returns of merchandise
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Assist in fulfilling online orders, when necessary
  • Daily + weekly cleaning of the store


  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate
  • Experience selling luxury products, or working in a boutique setting is preferred
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Strong verbal, written + interpersonal communication skills a must
  • Computer savvy, able to work on a Mac/Shopify and iPad
  • Impeccable people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of sales principles + customer service practices
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions
  • Initiative to work on your own as a self starter, but also a team player
  • Ability to perform under pressure + address complaints in a timely manner
  • Creative merchandising a plus

WHEN: Hiring now. The positions are part-time.

PAY: $23/hr + 3% commission on all sales. Employee discount.
