In November of 2019 we opened our flagship brick + mortar in the West Highland neighborhood of Denver, CO. An edgy yet refined boutique featuring the work of local jewelry designer, Kate Maller, showcased alongside a highly curated selection of artisan + fine jewelry, ceramics, fine mineral specimens, accessories, scents, books + cards.
We’re a small staff with big talent and lofty ideals. Our level of craftsmanship is unusual by today’s jewelry-making standards. We hand-fabricate every piece of Kate Maller Jewelry in our Denver studio. No outsourcing, no pre-made components, with the exception of delicate chains, and no casting or computer-generated designs. Every jump ring, clasp, and pair of ear wires is individually crafted in-house. Efficient? No, but hand craftsmanship imbues each piece with a unique character that makes them distinct, and keeps us feeling good about our work.
In a world where automation reigns supreme, we celebrate and value the time-honored traditions inherent in the art and craft of hand-fabricated metalsmithing. Because no two pieces are exactly alike, you’ll see subtle nuances in replicated pieces from our collections. Most clients appreciate those nuances and, like us, value the craftsmanship.
We are looking for an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our shop. You will be the one to ensure smooth running of operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. The ideal candidate will have experience as a store manager, and knowledge of diverse business subjects such as sales, marketing etc. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues, and develop the business. We are looking for a highly motivated team player, who is also a self-starter, and comfortable working independently in an upscale boutique environment.
Please send a letter of interest, resume, and references to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Start date is Wednesday, August 5th.
