Back in June we declared 2020 the Summer of Love and kicked things off with the new Love is Love Collection. Created to celebrate Pride month, Love is Love features gorgeous rings of recycled, high-quality 18k yellow gold, and a razzle-dazzle assortment of colored diamonds.
Designed to celebrate love, the bands are hand-fabricated with love (but of course!) in our very own KMJ studio. To keep things fun and playful, we created stud earrings, a necklace, and hoops featuring the same brightly-colored diamonds set in 18k yellow gold. Unique, timeless, and simply fabulous.

Our 2020 Summer of Love sparked KMJ’s first-ever contemporary bridal line, something Kate had wanted to create since she started making jewelry. The Legacy Collection takes her love affair with diamonds to a whole new place.
The KMJ bridal line features handcrafted engagement rings, wedding bands, and stackers made of solid, high-quality, recycled 18k yellow gold, or 14k palladium white gold, and ethically-sourced, brilliant-cut, salt + pepper diamonds. The rings are timeless in their beauty yet their clean lines and bezel and flush settings give the jewelry a contemporary look and feel. An assortment of delicate Legacy necklaces and bangles add sophistication on your wedding day, and every occasion that follows.
We want you to absolutely LOVE your ring. If diamonds aren’t your thing, we can set a stone of your choosing in any ring in the Legacy Collection. We can source a different type or style of diamond, or feature a colored gemstone. If you have a diamond you’d like us to repurpose, we can use that diamond in creating your ring. We can also make slight modifications to each design such as changing the type of metal in the ring, adding or subtracting accent diamonds, or changing the thickness or finish of the band, or bezel.
If you’re new to salt & pepper diamonds, you may not realize that inclusions (tiny black specks in the diamond) are responsible for the salt & pepper name. If you wish, we can source a different salt & pepper diamond, recognizing there will be slight variations from stone to stone.
Because we replicate the Legacy ring designs, they’re technically not OOAK diamond rings. Our One Of A Kind designs are designated OOAK because we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to find the same center stone at a later date to repeat the design. In contrast, the brilliant-cut round stones featured in the Legacy Collection are easier to source consistently.
As with all of our work, the Love is Love, and Legacy collections are hand-fabricated from start to finish, a feature that’s increasingly rare these days. The handcrafted nature of our jewelry imbues a special character in each and every piece. We can honestly say that your piece of KMJ jewelry is made with love. We think it shows.
