Aquamarine are embedded in brass to create this sculptural cuff. No amount of darkness can hide a spark of light. In Emilie's collection, Awakening, she explores the resilience of life, light and growth. In the quietest, darkest place, moss will grow. Inspired by the colors, textures and patterns of some of the most unassuming plants, this collection reflects on the growth unseen by most.

What to Know

Sizing

If you do not know your ring size, we highly recommend that you either get sized at our Denver brick and mortar or go to a local jeweler. We offer one complimentary ring resizing for all engagement/wedding ring purchases and One Of A Kind ring purchases over $4,000 plus within 1 year of purchase (excluding any shipping/delivery charges). Made To Order purchases may incur a fee if it’s a larger size that we do not have listed as in stock, please contact us directly for the possible fee.

Ring resizing is $50 flat (excluding any shipping/delivery charges) on all KMJ rings. $100 on other artists.

Please note that some styles may not be easily sizable, if at all.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your new piece(s) of jewelry! If you aren't completely satisfied for any reason, you may return or exchange online purchases only within 14 days of the shipment date. In store purchases may be exchanged within 7 days only. Items must be unworn, and returned in their original condition with original packaging. Refunds are less the original shipping cost, as KMJ does not cover shipping. Customer is responsible for safe + secure shipping back to KMJ. All returns need a return authorization before being shipped back to KMJ. Please contact us to discuss your needs, and to obtain authorization for a return or an exchange. Custom Orders

Kate Maller Jewelry welcomes inquiries into our Customs design process. Though easily confused, Custom jewelry is not the same as Made To Order or One Of A Kind pieces.

We view our Customs as a collaboration. We similarly will NOT copy the designs of another artist or jeweler as we strongly feel it undermines the value of artistry and destroys the integrity of the handmade process.

Artist Bio

Our jewelry is handcrafted from start to finish in our NYC studio by Emilie & her team of highly skilled, female artisans. We work closely our vendors who share the same ethos and keep suppliers as close to home as possible. We believe that the love we put into our jewelry becomes part of its soul and will be passed on for generations.

We tread as lightly as possible inside & outside the studio. We avoid all harsh chemicals in the studio and are always researching ways to improve upon this. We limit our use of single use plastic as best as we can, and have cut out all plastic from our packaging. Our jewelry will arrive in 100% post consumer recycled paper packaging.

We use 100% recycled and nickel free metals. We aim to waste as little as possible, and our metal scraps are sent back to our refiners to be melted down again. The majority of our gemstones are used exactly how they were found in the Earth; meaning no cutting waste of chemicals.

Artist Bio

Emilie grew up on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, where water became her constant and her inspiration. She comes from a long line of creative entrepreneurs, inventors, and free spirits who encouraged Emilie to explore different mediums throughout her artistic life.

Emilie uses the ancient craft of wax casting, dating back to the Egyptians. Her technique involves carving sculptural pieces into hard wax and casting them into metal. She incorporates rough gemstones as a celebration of the beauty of natural imperfection. Every piece is handmade in her New York City studio.

Emilie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Design from Syracuse University, with a concentration in jewelry and metalsmithing. She also studied at Alchimia, a contemporary school of jewelry in Florence, Italy. In addition to designing and making jewelry, Emilie teaches jewelry workshops in her studio and other venues in New York City. She lives in Astoria, Queens with her husband, son, and their not-so-social cats.
