With a preface by Jonathan Adler, the book tracks the couple’s careers in the decorative arts from their beginnings to the creation of Jenev Design Studio and its eventual shift to ERA Industries, as well as their involvement in every prestigious California Design exhibition from 1954 to 1976. Additionally, after almost 30 years of work they continued to create and develop their styles. The Ackermans became known for their uses of a wide spectrum of mediums including weaving, ceramics, wood carvings, and mosaics. The Ackermans’ individualistic and innovative techniques also ensured that great design be both accessible and affordable. Featuring many never-before-seen preparatory drawings and color guides, this book tells the heartening story of a successful collaboration and celebrated partnership, in not only design, but in life.

Sizing

If you do not know your ring size, we highly recommend that you either get sized at our Denver brick and mortar or go to a local jeweler. We offer one complimentary ring resizing for all engagement/wedding ring purchases and One Of A Kind ring purchases over $4,000 plus within 1 year of purchase (excluding any shipping/delivery charges). Made To Order purchases may incur a fee if it’s a larger size that we do not have listed as in stock, please contact us directly for the possible fee.

Ring resizing is $50 flat (excluding any shipping/delivery charges) on all KMJ rings. $100 on other artists.

Please note that some styles may not be easily sizable, if at all.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your new piece(s) of jewelry! If you aren't completely satisfied for any reason, you may return or exchange online purchases only within 14 days of the shipment date. In store purchases may be exchanged within 7 days only. Items must be unworn, and returned in their original condition with original packaging. Refunds are less the original shipping cost, as KMJ does not cover shipping. Customer is responsible for safe + secure shipping back to KMJ. All returns need a return authorization before being shipped back to KMJ. Please contact us to discuss your needs, and to obtain authorization for a return or an exchange. Kate Maller Jewelry welcomes inquiries into our Customs design process. Though easily confused, Custom jewelry is not the same as Made To Order or One Of A Kind pieces.

We view our Customs as a collaboration. We similarly will NOT copy the designs of another artist or jeweler as we strongly feel it undermines the value of artistry and destroys the integrity of the handmade process.
